James Cameron’s Avatar 2 will explore Pandora’s ocean

Unless you were born in or before the 70s, there is no excuse for you to not have watched Avatar – the highest grossing and the most successful film ever made in the history of mankind & Na’vi.

While Avatar took us on an epic journey through the dense forest and exotic vegetation of Pandora, the sequel to the movie will take us deep into the planet’s ocean.

"We created a broad canvas for the environment of film. That’s not just on Pandora, but throughout the Alpha Centauri AB system. And we expand out across that system and incorporate more into the story – not necessarily in the second film, but more toward a third film," Cameron said.

"Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment – a different setting within Pandora. And I’m going to be focusing on the ocean, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won’t be a rain forest. I’m not saying we won’t see what we’ve already seen; we’ll see more of that as well," he added.

The 55-year-old director also admits that the challenge ahead of him it to make the sequel in half the time and with half the budget of the original film.

Well, we don’t care how much it costs and how long it takes to make it, as long as we get to see more of Pandora and Neytiri :).
