Everyone knows that Facebook recently crossed 500 million users worldwide. What many might not know that Facebook also crossed 12 million users in India. At this rate, it will be able to overtake orkut very soon.
Facebook announced this milestone on the official Facebook India page. As part of the celebration. Facebook has launched the Facebook-Stories initiative where users can share their own stories about impact of Facebook on their lives.
Certainly a big number for India. however, when we look at it from a population penetration perspective, it is just close to 1%.
