750 Million Photos Uploaded To Facebook On New Year Weekend

Randi Zuckerberg, Facebook’s marketing Director and Mark Zuckerberg‘s sister, tweeted that users around the world uploaded a whopping 750 million photos to Facebook over the New Years’s Eve weekend! To give you a context, in July more than 100 million photos were uploaded every day, so the weekend was definitely higher than normal but not surprising.

In comparison, Flickr, a 6 year old popular image hosting service from Yahoo, completed 5 billion photos on September 2010. That’s like 6-7 good weekends for Facebook Photos.

Phew, this company is growing so big that it scares me.
