iPhone on Verizon Rumors Might Be Coming True

The iPhone CDMA rumors we talked about seem to be coming true. There were two new developments that seem to make it more clear that iPhone is coming on Verizon soon.

One, Verizon has registered the domain name iphoneonverizon.com according to the whois page as discovered by pocketnow. Two, Offwire a retail website has already got an iPhone 4 Verizon category of accessories. We believe this is pretty good evidence that the rumors are coming true soon.

While this is great information for US residents as they won’t have to get stuck to AT&T’s bad network just because they want an iPhone, I’m not sure if it’s of any use to us Indian people. While we have 2 big CDMA carriers in Reliance and Tata Indicom, we have never been big fans of their network. But Reliance surely has an ability to launch iPhone 4 in India at a decent price. Do you think a CDMA iPhone will mean Reliance or Tata Indicom will launch it in India down the line? Will you be interested if the price with 2 year contract is around 20k?
