Steve Jobs has resigned from Apple. There are all kinds of talks about how it will affect Apple, how the stocks will go down, whether Apple will continue to stay on top for long. But I don’t think this is the time to think about all that. It’s time to give the guy a standing ovation for what he has done over his stint at Apple to influence modern technology.
Back in college, I read the transcript of this speech he gave at Stanford’s 2005 commencement address. It inspired me so much that I downloaded the audio (yeah there was no youtube back then) and stored it in my MP3 player and listened to it multiple times. I made everyone I knew read/hear it. And couple of years later when I bought my first iPod, I put the speech in it so I could see/hear it anytime.
