Apple unveiled the new Macbooks at WWDC making them faster and cheaper. With addition of things like better screen and SD card slot, this is probably the best macbook update after unibody. Here is a quick look at the config:

As you can see, the good old 13 inch Macbook has been upgraded to the Macbook Pro. The most talked about upgrades are the SD card slot and the awesome battery life.
The new batteries deliver a much longer backup, but are now built into the unibody. According to Apple, the battery will last for 5 years or 1000 recharges. This shouldn’t affect us as we anyways have to get the battery replaced from the Apple store.
The much wanted SD card slot is also here. Apparently, Apple realized (pretty late) that most people having Macbooks also have a digital camera.
The best part of the upgrade is definitely the reduction in price. Their lighter brother, the Macbook Air, got a price drop of whooping $700 if we consider its SSD model.
