T-Mobile G1 was the phone which started it all. It was bashed by the media, butchered by iPhone fanboys but secretly loved by early adopters. It was an iconic phone but it never came to India. The next version called T-Mobile G2 and also knows as HTC Desire Z, has however landed here. For Rs. 25799 the price isn’t bad either!
HTC Desire Z is built on a Snapdragon 800 MHz Qualcomm CPU with 512 MB RAM, 1.5 GB storage and runs Android 2.2 Froyo. It features a 3.7″ S-TFT 800×480 display, Slide-out QWERTY keyboard (one of the best in Android phones), 5 MP camera with LED Flash 720 Video recording and the regular sensors and connectivity options. The battery life is something that makes it stand out amongst Android phones in the same range.
Why should you choose it? Well, the only reason we can think of right now is the Slide out keyboard. The phone may have a sturdier body and much better looks but for a few thousands more Samsung Galaxy S beats it in every other aspect.

DESIRE HD is selling for 27499 on flipkart …that beats Samsung galaxy s in every way!
I wouldn't say beats in every way. Galaxy S has a much better Super AMOLED screen although size is a bit less.
But most important of all Desire HD's battery life (similar to EVO) sucks big time.
