The iPhone 5 is the thinnest smartphone yet and apple has achieved some amazing engineering feats in getting it together. Some of them are:

- The A6 processor delivering twice as fast graphics & CPU performance over A5 and still consuming lesser battery
- The new apple EarPods
- Redesigned iSight camera with Sapphire crystal

The iPhone 5 is available for pre order in the first batch of countries starting today and will ship on 21 September. Apple plans to launch it in 100 countries by December of this year. Here are some high resolution images:
Here is an official video from Apple explaining what went into making the iPhone 5:
The iPhone 5 should launch in India by this Diwali (assumably at the previous absurd pricing of the iPhone 4S). It is best to get the unlocked models from the US which are priced at $649, $749 & $849 for 16Gb, 32GB and 64Gb respectively. We suggest to wait until it is officially available in India as it uses the nano sim. The smallest available sim cards in India are micro sim whose chip is bigger than the whole nano sim. So you cannot crop it and pop it in your iPhone 5 like we did with the normal sim cards. There are rumors that Airtel, Vodafone and Aircel have placed orders of nano sim cards indicating that the India launch is imminent. We believe that October is going to be the time when Apple might launch it in India.
