It seems like yesterday that Tata Docomo launched in India with their awesome ad campaign and the amazing jingle and induced a price war in the telecom space in India. It is a result of this price war that we are seeing dirt cheap call prices in India today.
Today, Tata Docomo has become the first private telecom operator to launch 3G services in India. Although the official launch date is Diwali, but they flipped the switch today morning (choti Diwali) and their subscribers have been enjoying 3G at blazing fast speeds.

Tata Docomo has also promised that their 3G tariffs will be highly competitive and that anyone who wants to enjoy 3G services will be able to afford them. They should announce the tariffs soon after the official launch.
The good part is that all the private operators have upgraded their network with HSDPA+ class equipments capable of delivering speed up to 21 Mbps!
