Think before you buy that HP TouchPad for $99. Lakshmi Access Communications Systems Pvt. Ltd., a Delhi based firm has launched Magnum Pepper – a INR 4500 (~$99) Android tablet in india. This might probably be the cheapest Android tablet in the world! The specs include:

• Supports 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet LAN (RJ45)
• Support USB 2.0
• Support Micro SD card (maximum 32 GB)
• 3G compatible dongle

• Built in 2GB memory
• Android 2.2 version

Impressive specs coupled with a very affordable price might make this the tablet to beat in India. With the launch of android based tablets from Bharti & Reliance, looks like this segment has lot of potential for a price war in India.
