It has been reported by an official Korean News agency that Samsung is about to launch the successor to their successful line of Android based Galaxy S phones at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. This probably explains the sudden disappearance of Samsung Galaxy S from the Indian market. This is pretty much what happened last year, when Samsung discontinued Galaxy Spica just before launching the new series of Galaxy phones.
The successor will be called Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100). It is rumored to be based on a dual-core processor, features a Super AMOLED Plus screen and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
