Samsung Galaxy S2 Picture Leaked, Looks Too Good To Be True

Samsung Galaxy S2 Leaked Picture

Just yesterday a successor to the very popular Galaxy S was announced and we were suspecting that it is the reason for the shortage of Galaxy S in Indian market. Today another Korean website ETNews has leaked a picture and some details of the device. It boasts a dual-core processor, 4.3? Super AMOLED Plus display, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), and an NFC chip for the future proof mobile payments. The specs pretty much tally with what we heard before except the larger screen and the NFC chip.

Two leaks in 2 days. Do you think it’s the real thing? Personally I find the picture too good looking to be true. The Samsung I know isn’t famous for it’s build quality and looks.

UPDATE

While the image is not confirmed yet, Samsung Galaxy S2 has been confirmed by Samsung Mobile’s president JK Shin. What’s also confirmed is that the phone will run a dual-core processor and Super AMOLED Plus display.

  1. "It boasts a dual-core processor, 4.3?"

well no, it is probably the cortex A9 OMAP4430 or OMAP4440 clocked on ranges from 1Ghz, 1.5Ghz or maybe 2Ghz ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_OM… see also http://www.arm.com/products/processors/cortex-a/c… ) the 4.3 probably was mentioned based on its series number OMAP4??? wich is a very powerful cpu for a 2Watt processor since it can run full HD (1080p) and it is the successor to samsung galaxyS cortex A8 processor.

    • Highly doubt OMAP units will be used since samsung manufactures their processors and they’ve already announced orion (dual core proc) last year. If the rumors are true, i highly doubt OMAP 4440’s powervr sgx540 can provide 5x graphics performance of the current hummingbird since current hummingbird uses powervr sgx540
