Thanks for replying Setu.

I am pretty much aware of the fact. I was just curious to know if these contract-free iPhone 3G's have sneaked into the Indian grey market yet. I guess it'll take some time for India to have it's official, contract-free iPhone.

The price however in the US itself is quite high today. I read about it on Ars technica/ Engadget a few days back.

Btw, woikr is a good job done.

Best wishes,

Praval

Praval -

Contract free iPhone 3Gs aren't available in India yet. However, the ones you buy from Airtel or Vodafone will work with your existing connection from these guys. That is, you do not have to get any iPhone specific voice plan.

The price in the US is $599 for the 8GB version and $699 for the 16GB version.

I wonder if these contract free iPhone 3Gs would be available in India as well, just as the iPhone 2G sneaked in illegally.

Any clues on the price of contract-free iPhone in the US?
