Facebook updates it photo viewer (again)

Facebook is revamping its photo viewer (also called lightbox) again. Like the last update, this one will let you see much wider photos which are 960 pixel in width as opposed to 720 pixels you can currently see. The photos should also load twice as fast which is good news. Also, the black background of the photo viewer will be replaced with an opaque white one. Apparently, this will put more emphasis on the photo compared to the black one.

Facebook photos is the most popular photo sharing service on earth. The last update brought lots of heat to Facebook as people were extremely happy with the vanilla photo viewer. Lets hope this update is better. In case you do not see the new photo viewer, hang on a few days as they are rolling it out slowly.
