Windows 7 Reaches 20% Market Share; Snow Leopard 3%

Microsoft Windows

According to these Hitslink statistics, the market share of Windows 7 is now over 20% of the devices online worldwide. Windows XP still rules with over 56% and even Vista is at third with 12.11%. Overall, Microsoft Windows still has over 90% share of the world’s computing devices. Snow Leopard follows with a meagre 3.11% and Apple’s share including OSX and iOS is around 6%.

An interesting point is that iPhone alone beats all the Linux based devices combined.

We are not sure how accurate these figures are but they make me sad. Not that I hate Windows, but the other Operating Systems definitely deserve better than this.
