I liked the Mac App Store when I saw it. I knew it’s gonna be as awesome as the iPhone App Store but I didn’t know it’ll be this huge! Heck, I would’ve been happy with a figure like 10k downloads. It’s awesome. Steve Jobs said in a press release, “We’re amazed at the incredible response the Mac App Store is getting. Developers have done a great job bringing apps to the store and users are loving how easy and fun the Mac App Store is.”
As TUAW says, the sales will definitely go down after the initial rush. But I believe this might prove to be a really important strategy move for Apple and Macs in the coming future.
