Sony definitely scores more in looks, but I must say that the Dell’s studio line gives serious competition to Sony even in the looks department.

I would rate both their customer service as equal. However, it kind of depends on the city you live in.

If Dell is offering a better config at the same price, I would say go for it as laptop is something you do not upgrade often.

Dear Setu,
I found your comments very useful. I have more or less narrowed down on either Sony Vaio CS 24 series or Dell Studio 15. Which one would you recommend. Basically need it for home use with some basic gaming, surfing, etc.

I am attracted by the looks of Sony but Dell is attractive as it has larger screen, vista premium, more memory, etc.

Any idea about whose customer service is better?
