Signature Capture For iOS

While browsing through the website of Ten One Design – makers of fling tactile joystick for iPad, I came across this neat piece of iOS app – Autograph.

Autograph is an iOS app (currently free) which lets you sign on your iOS device and then send the signature image to any of your computers on the same network running the free Autograph Helper application. You can then use the signature image in any document (MS word, Pages etc.).

Autograph is also available as a Mac app for $6.95 which lets you capture signatures on your Mac using the multi touch trackpad. However, the iOS app offers the same functionality via your iOS device and is currently free for a limited time. And something about signing on my iPhone/iPad and sending it wirelessly to my mac makes me feel good :). Also, using the iOS app, you can send signatures to your windows computers on the same network.

The app is a universal binary for iPhone and iPad. So it runs natively on the iPad providing a much larger area for your signature.

Here is a small video demonstrating the features (Note that the guy in the video is using a Pogo stylus – another product from Ten One Design, but you can always use your finger):

Want it? Get the iOS app here and the Windows or Mac helper software here.
