A Tactile Joystick For Your iPad

NewImage.jpg

All these touchscreen devices have one thing in common – the lack of tactile gaming. And the iPad is no exception. So a company called Ten One Design which makes some cool accessories for (mostly) apple products have come up with this uber cool looking joystick for iPad – Fling.

The joystick sticks to your iPad on the bezel using the suction cups. This way, it can be placed over the onscreen joystick in your favorite game. When you move the joystick, its conductive material touches the corresponding onscreen control to control the character taking you into total retro gaming nirvana.

The joystick is available for pre order for $24.95 here and will ship around January 28. It is available in 3 colors – Ice (transparent), ultraviolet & Ninja (black).

Fling will (ideally) work with all games that have an onscreen joystick. However, the three games that have been certified by the Ten One Design are Meteor BlitzAcross AgeSuper Megaworm. You can also use two flings on both sides of your iPad. They are available in packs of pair at a discounted price.

Also, to top things off, it comes with a micro fiber carrying case which can double up as a cleaning cloth for your iPad’s screen. Neat.

Here is a small video of it in action:
