If you are in Mumbai over this weekend (Feb 19 and 20), this is something for you. Orkut has started a new community called Orkut Box Office which, as per them, is the “one stop shop for movie reviews, latest updates and free tickets”. While we are not asking you to believe them on that (neither do we), we actually don’t mind any freebies as long as they are, well, free!
Here are the steps:
- Visit www.orkut.com/boxoffice (I know you killed your Orkut account, you must go and create one. Didn’t you hear it properly – free movie tickets!)
- Post a comment/review/funny story there. Anything will do. Maybe even fraandship requests.
- They will send an email/scrap to you telling the day, date and time of the movie and instructions on how you can pick up your free tickets!
- Pick up your tickets from the movie cinema (PVR Juhu or Malad) at least 30 minutes before the show.
- Close your Orkut account and don’t tell anyone about the above.
PS: They say they will give tickets to early birds. That’s obviously a vague statement but what’s the harm in trying?
