Verizon iPhone likely to be announced on Jan 11th

Well, this is a good news for Verizon Apple fans who’ve waited years for a CDMA iPhone.  It’s here and it’s going to be announced on the 11th of January 2011.

As Gizmodo reports the Verizon  invite has been sent to only Apple fans (who’ve not pissed off Apple earlier) and Apple CEO Steve Jobs is likely to appear at the event. We can’t wait to see how Apple modified the iPhone design to get rid of the “Antenna-Gate” issues. This is the invite that was sent to MG Siegler (@parislemon) of TechCrunch and AllThingsDigital team.

Still not convinced it’s the Verizon iPhone that’s coming? Read Engadget’s compilation of all the sources/news on the Verizon iPhone.

Update – Appears Verizon plans to provide unlimited data plans, like it does for other smartphones. That’s a great reason for people to move away from AT&T.
