It is a sad day. Steve Jobs, the iCon of the technology industry and the creator of some of the most innovative products & companies has passed away. The news of Steve Jobs death was broken on the Apple’s homepage and a statement by Apple’s Board of Directors.
This is a huge loss for the whole world. Steve was a visionary and undoubtedly an amazing human being. Here is the official statement from Apple’s Board of Directors:
We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.
Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.
His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.
Apple has put up a microsite in memory of Steve Jobs and have set up the email address rememberingsteve@apple.com for anyone who might want to share thoughts, memories and condolences.
