Nexus S Gingerbread ported to Samsung Galaxy S

It had to happen. The phone internals are pretty much the same internally and people over at XDA are way smart to not do such things. The sources released by Google were compiled by the French developer supercurio. According to his post, the things that don’t work yet are GPS, Voice, Voice, Camera and some hardware buttons. But I’m sure they’ll get fixes with time. If you have a Galaxy S, you don’t need to worry whether Samsung will upgrade it to Gingerbread ever.
